TESVolSat - Survey on Volunteer Satisfaction and Motivation

placehold

TES volunteers were invited to take part in the 1st international survey addressed to all TES volunteers and professionals.

The invitation to fill in the questionnaire was sent to the almost 22.000 volunteers and 1.000 professionals (managers, secretaries, trainers, supervisors, other staff) who are presently active in the 334 centres of the 31 Associations and Federations member of IFOTES. Questionnaires available in 8 languages were filled in at the end of 2014.

In the questionnaire there were questions about working conditions, motivations, states of mental well-being and socio-demographic status. Volunteers were invited to answer as many questions as possible and which were applicable to their situation.

It is the first time at international level that such great attention is given to volunteers and professionals of helplines, to their motivations and values, to their accomplishments and satisfaction in being part of the TES community.

The outcome of this survey gives us a deeper insight into the motivation and satisfaction of TES volunteers and employees and will eventually lead to improvements being made in TES working conditions.

The final report is now available in English, Français Dutch and Suomi.
